Porn on Google Home Page

If you have done a search recently and noticed a porn image that rotates on the bottom of the google home page then unfortanetly you got yourself a problem.  Nothing worse then your kids or wife getting on the computer next asking were you have been online.

At the time of this writing RemoveVirus.org can confirm two things.

1.  We were only able to get this when using Chrome

2. We were able to duplicate the issue using the add on called Super Mario. We have also now gotten a report on "Angry Birds Space 3.5" showing this.  Most likely it's from a third party upload that is a rip off of the real Angry Birds Space.

To stop these porn links on the Google home page is very simple.  Delete the Super Mario addon

It seems the source has already been removed as an addon as we could not get another sample for creating a video on how to do this.  However we can provide you a manual guide as it's very simple.

Step 1.  Open Chorme

Step 2.  Select the Wrench Icon on the top right > Then select Tools > Then Select Extensions > Now find the Super Mario Addon and use the trash can button to remove the addon.

Step 3. Pat yourself on the back and hit the like button on this site to recommend the guide to others.

I would advice users to run a full antivirus scan.  You most likely have not suffered any other ill effects from this but still you should run the scan to be on the safe side.  While this a newer tactic it will most likely not be the last.  Expect other add-ons to be effected over time.  The removal process will be the exact same.

I had this problem, but did not have the Mario Extension installed. I unchecked the “enable” check box next to Angry Birds Space 3.5, went to http://www.google.com, and the ad was gone.

    1. remove any unwanted extension(add-on). i had set “Angry Birds Space”, so i have removed “Angry Birds Space” extension and problem gone. you can find this from chrome browser settings.
    2. some folks has said it was due to because they have installed a game “Mario”. so try to remove
