Antivirus 2010

Description: Antivirus 2010 is a fake security client first discovered by RemoveVirus.org on Oct 15 2010.  Like most rogue security clients the software basically holds your computer ransom untill you make a pruchase of the bogus software.  Doing so of course only gives criminals your credit card information and not an option you want to use.  Like other related fake clients Antivirus 2010 shows bogus scan results and makes the user think that their computer has 100's of viruses installed.

Over the past 2 years there have been several different versions of this fake client going under similar names.

More to come on this virus as soon as we can test a few computers out to write a manual removal guide for you.

If you are infected and want to have this virus removed right away we recoomend either download a copy of Spyware Doctor with Antivirus in Safe Mode with Networking or using the services of http://www.onlinecomputerrepair.org and have them remove the virus for you.  They charge around 89 dollars for full removal of all viruses.
