Antivir 2010 Removal

Description: Antivir 2010 is a rogue anti-spyware closely related to Antivir and Alpha Antivirus. It acts in a similar way to its relatives by trying to convince users to purchase its license. Antivir 2010 reaches the user’s system via online Trojans and through social engineering tactics used by online scammers. Once installed, Antivir 2010 disables any active virus scanners and loads at startup. It also performs fake system scans and generates a large number of false virus reports stating that the user’s system is under serious threat. This rogue software also generates countless fake pop-ups from the Windows taskbar warning the user that the system is under threat. Antivir 2010 then claims that the user should purchase the ‘full’ version of the software, as apparently the ‘trial’ version is incapable of removing the detected false ‘threats’. The GUI also features a ‘Get full time protection’ button to try and trick users into paying for the ‘full’ version. However, as Antivir 2010 is a fake program, there is no way that it could perform any scans on your system.
